I never understood ‘Business Casual’

Let me start out by stating that I hate, hate, hate business and business casual dress. I feel uncomfortable, stuffy and self conscious all day long. There are some people who tend to do well in slacks and a button down shirt. For example, FCJ seems to be very comfortable in the monkey suit that he has to wear to the office and if I remember correctly has been known to wear a similar costume when not in the office. Others like Captn. Punc. have only to don dress pants or slacks (I still don’t know the difference) during special events that require him to do so (i.e. he was told to do so). I believe the last time he had to wear them was during his wedding and I strongly suspect he had on jeans underneath. As for myself, the first thing I do when I get home is go change into something more to my liking, usually used-to-be blue jeans or lounge pants if I am not planning on going out again. If biblioWife isn’t near the path from the front door to my closet, she doesn’t get a kiss until I shed my oppressive clothes.

  1. i do believe that the "flamboyant" or "light in their shoes," feel more comfortable in tight or "form fiting" clothes. that is why I never wear them... you do,but dont like to... and we can't get "FCJ" out of them. not that we're trying to get him out of his clothes...

  2. BiblioWIFE... classic

...and just because I enjoy wearing slacks does not make me light in my shoes! I am still a pretty big guy, even though I've lost a bit of weight.

  3. light in your shoes does not infer anything about your weight... and im sure you'll find that weight you lost somewhere, just keep looking.

  4. I do believe I found it... Everyone told me I had lost it, but when I went to the place I had it last it dawned on me that maybe the scale just holds it for me until I step on him again.
