I’m not sure why this image makes me giggle in that quite way that makes me sound creepy. Maybe it’s the thoughts that this little fish took so long to set up the back board and went through the painstaking work of attaching the net with those ineffective flippers. I can just picture him swimming with a little hop in his paddle to his bubble emitting sea chest guarded by the old timey diver. He looks in the mirror, flexes a few times, take a few deep breaths and puts on his headband and goes to look for the ball.

He is so excited that you can read his thoughts just by looking at his face: ‘Yea boy, I’m gonna hoop it up and show that little angel fish my skillz. She will be so impressed that I am and sure to get some fin tonight! All I gotta do is find that ba…ll….well shit.”

OK I get it; you’ve been waiting to place your order. I know that I have been helping the cocktail servers, dinner servers and the manager, ignoring you in the process. I apologize that I helped the person closest to me after making 15 drinks for a table in the restaurant, I was not aware that you arrived before he did. I understand that the other bartender has ignored you as well because he is stuck at the other end of the bar where 10 other people are shouting at him. I’m sorry it has taken me 5 minutes to get to you, even though the first thing out of your cake hole was “I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes and you helped that other….yadda yadda…” But…..if you are going to bitch and moan about me being busy and wasting your time on your friends birthday when it’s your turn to buy rounds, you had better make damn sure that you know what you want to when I ask. I never understood ‘Business Casual’

Let me start out by stating that I hate, hate, hate business and business casual dress. I feel uncomfortable, stuffy and self conscious all day long. There are some people who tend to do well in slacks and a button down shirt. For example, FCJ seems to be very comfortable in the monkey suit that he has to wear to the office and if I remember correctly has been known to wear a similar costume when not in the office. Others like Captn. Punc. have only to don dress pants or slacks (I still don’t know the difference) during special events that require him to do so (i.e. he was told to do so). I believe the last time he had to wear them was during his wedding and I strongly suspect he had on jeans underneath. As for myself, the first thing I do when I get home is go change into something more to my liking, usually used-to-be blue jeans or lounge pants if I am not planning on going out again.
